Dark Inventions are working as a major partner on an AHRC-funded cultural engagement project at the Contemporary Music Research Centre, University of York.
Dark Inventions will feature on a new double CD as part of Kate Halsall’s Miniature Concertos project in Philip Cashian’s Furor. The disc will be released in May on the Metier label.
Dark Inventions have recorded and released a new CD featuring the premiere recording of Philip Cashian’s Firewheel. The disc features new works commissioned as part of the group’s Firewheel Tour in 2014, by young British composers.
The York Spring Festival of New Music invites student composers from York, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester and Huddersfeld to submit works of up to 5 minutes in duration for fute, cello and percussion, or any combination thereof.
Dark Inventions will be playing in a double bill with cellist Zoë Martlew at the Forge in Camden on March 4, 2015 as part of the Wednesdays at the Forge series.
